-
- Favorite podcast? It's always changing, but at the moment, it is Art of Accomplishment by Joe Hudson.
- Favorite movie? Again, always changing. But at the moment a movie called, 'About Time.' It's such a lovely movie and message!
- Favorite book of all time? Gosh, that's SO hard to say. Especially as an English Major. But I'll go with 'Great Expectations.'
- Favorite recent book? 'In Five Years' by Rebecca Serle. I listen to a book a week on Audible, so this literally changes weekly. ;-)
- Favorite fabric designer? Amy Sinibaldi or Liberty of London.
- Favorite music/musician/album to listen to during your ME Time? Right now, Zach Bryan. But usually, I'm more Indie. I guess I'd also have to say The Airborne Toxic Event.
- Favorite ice cream flavor? Swoon brand's Key Lime Pie.
- Favorite soda? Diet Dr. Pepper.
- Favorite comfort food? Hmmm . . .I love candy, much to my chagrin. Troli Eggs are my go-to. Does that count as a food?
- Favorite place you’ve visited? BlackBerry Mountain in Tennessee. I know, after traveling the world, it's right here in my backyard (relatively speaking). It was such the perfect getaway with my husband. I'll forever love that place.
- Favorite candy? Troli Eggs. which in that case, my favorite food is Sweet Parise Cafe crepes, cookies and cream.
- Favorite project you’ve ever made? My 'Front Porch' quilt. It's a 3D flying geese block, which is cool. But I also love all the scrappy fabrics and the gradient coloring of the blocks. Plus it has minky background. It's heavy and soft and just so, so good. (see attached photo).
- Favorite movie quote? From 'About Time': We're all traveling through time together, every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.
- Favorite sewing/crafting tool? Starch spray and a good iron. Hands down! My favorite starch spray is the Faultless Magic with the gold top. The serious, heavy-duty stuff.
- Favorite fabric store? Anything that carries Art Gallery Fabrics.
- Favorite thing to have by you when you stitch? An audible book or music, and a good drink. Flavored water is a favorite.
- Favorite gift you’ve ever given or received? Oh gosh - that's really hard to say! I'll go with my friend Tracy to teach me how to sew and introducing me to quilting.
- Favorite breed of cat or dog (or other pet)? Miniature poodle - what we have!
- Favorite kind of machine embroidery project? I actually haven't tried this yet. Ever! #goals
- Favorite person to sew/craft with? Is it terrible if I say myself? What can I say, I like my own company. When I sew, I like to focus and be in my own little world.
- Favorite craft room organization tool? My Arrow sewing desk. It gets really small and doesn't take much room, but can store a lot and opens up to have all the surface space I need when sewing.
- Favorite season to decorate for? Christmas!
- Favorite way to display your projects? In the entry of my house and in our living room. I have strategic places in my house to drape quilts, hang banners, and display what I make while not being too over the top. I love a pottery-barn style home decor, so I don't want my home to feel over-the-top crafty (no shame for those who do!), so I have been very strategic about having designed places where handmade items display well. At least I like to think so. ;-)
